ALOO system

Aluminum-Bamboo, or in short »ALOO«, sees itself as a lightweight material and construction system. Hollow tubes out of thin Aluminum make up the core element, which can be screwed to long strands of any length. A simple bicycle pump is used to pressurize the strands, so they can bear significant load. Like with natural bamboo and it's characteristic knots, the thread necks provide additional rigidity. Thanks to the extreme low weight, temporary relief structures like bridges, tents, masts, etc., can be realized in hard to reach areas. It is also possible to ship further relief goods in the hollow strands, like water or food.
